Summary
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, including the office, bathrooms, breakroom, kitchen, lockers, lobby, and other designated areas in performing the following janitorial duties:
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs floor maintenance, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping multiple surfaces.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including toilets and sinks, and restocks disposables (e.g., soap).
Collects and disposes of trash receptacles.
Disinfects high-touch surfaces and commonly used items such as door handles, office tools, phones, etc.
Removes dust and debris from high and low surfaces.
Wipes mirrors and windows with glass cleaner.
Keeps cleaning inventory, including cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, and disinfectants for the facility, and notifies management when new cleaning supplies or products are needed.
Completes minor repairs and notifies management of any significant maintenance needed.
Maintains outer premises by cleaning entrances, mowing the lawn, and shoveling snow.
Utilizes different cleaning products and practices the safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
Works safely and follows prescribed safety regulations, including a familiarity with the Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Practices correct ergonomics as instructed by management.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
0-1 year of experience in janitorial duties or a related area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is active and requires standing, walking, and bending all day.
Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. If items are heavier than 50 pounds, seek the help of a lifting device, or request the assistance of a fellow employee(s) for a team lift.
The facility is not climate-controlled, so heat in the summer and cold in the winter are factors.
