Summary
Responsible for directing and coordinating the preventative maintenance of production equipment, the upkeep of the plant facilities, planning repair activities, and evaluating the equipment's performance and overall health while communicating with Technical Services to determine repair, rebuild, and/or replacement strategies. Helps analyze, forecast, and establish annual maintenance budgets for each department with Technical Services and develop maintenance procedures while minimizing machine downtime and ensuring safety in the most efficient way possible while performing the following duties:

Wifco Steel Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor who can perform and supervise technicians in highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes on the plant floor. The supervisor will also serve as a role model, leader, trainer, and mentor to staff. The position is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the Company's mission, vision, values, and goals in daily activities.
Performs and oversees highly skilled duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
Manages emergency/unscheduled equipment repairs during production and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
Performs and supervises mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
Interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and makes necessary adjustments.
Evaluate equipment performance and overall health and communicate with Technical Services to determine repair, rebuild, and/or replacement strategies.
Uses various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
Executes and manages simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those to Technical Services.
Works with the production department to identify maintenance issues and requirements.
Monitors expenditures in negotiating and reviewing all costs associated with outside maintenance repairs and ordering parts needed for repairs.
Helps analyze, forecast, and establish annual maintenance budgets for each department with Technical Services.
Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventative maintenance program, operating and testing systems and equipment, and restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Maintains and optimizes the CMMS system to continuously improve operational efficiency and asset management.
Attend necessary production meetings to acquire up-to-date information and provide input about maintenance where needed.
Ensures effective employee relations, provides employee coaching and development, makes employment decisions, and resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
Manages departmental performance measures and provides regular progress reports to Technical Services. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes, expansions, and additions.
Oversees department priorities.
Plans and assigns work, professionally communicates and implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Supervises employee hiring, orientation, training, development, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, retention, and discipline.
Monitors Time & Attendance and Time Off in ADP TotalSource weekly, managing employee absences, holidays, vacations, and missing clock-in/out times and any inconsistencies.
Conducts employee reviews in which recommendations will be factored into pay increases and profit-sharing bonuses.
Improves working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, and cost) and increases subordinates' skills and capabilities.
Complies with OSHA rules and regulations participates in health and safety documentation and training, and offers suggestions for improvements.
Manage department housekeeping to keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly, including cleaning at the end of each shift.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of five years of equipment maintenance experience is preferred.
A minimum of three years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred.
College education or professional technical training in maintenance repair or related fields is desired.
Continue job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Experience using hand tools, gauges, dials, and/or other indicators to ensure machines work correctly.
Skilled with electrical and mechanical malfunctions and equipment failures.
Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations.
Proficient with various concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing.
